Announcement of the International Special Figure Skating Competition, a part of the 25th Santa Claus Special Figure Skating Competition for Young Single Skaters 29.11.-1.12.2024.
The Figure Skating Club, Varala-Tiimi ry, from Tampere, Finland, is pleased to invite special skaters to participate in the international figure skating competition.

Categories and classes, entry fee and judging system
Competition will be in following single skating categories and classes, for male and female.
Category: Special Olympics
Entry fee: 66 €
Judging system: ISU evaluation
After deadline double fee.
Level I-VI age free groups.
Competition implements all impairments.
Participants in Level I-IV will skate ONLY FREE PROGRAMS
The organizer reserves the right to split categories into age groups, if the number of participants requires it.

Requirements
Santa Claus Competition will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the ISU Special Regulations for Figure Skating as well as all pertinent ISU Communications for Figure Skating and the regulations and classifications of the Finnish Skating Union.

Entries
Participation in the Santa Claus competition is only open to skaters and clubs who belong to an ISU member. All invited clubs and National Figure Skating Federations are invited to the competitions in any category. All competitors and clubs of the Finnish Figure Skating Association are invited to the competition.

Post-registration until 12.11.2024 20:00 (EET) (double fee)
Registration must contain:
- Club, Nation
- First name, Last name
- Gender
- Category (Level)
- Date of Birth
- Club representative in the competition
In addition to the competitors, coaches and club representatives or officials who are going to the competition must be also registered.
The organizer reserves the right to limit the number of participants.
Entry fee
Finnish clubs: Entry fee invoice will be sent after competition.
Foreign clubs: Each club must pay the total amount of entry fees for its participants right after entry but not later than 12.11.2024.The competitor is included in the entry list only after 100% payment and from that moment on she/he can be substituted by another skater if an emergency cancellation occurs.

The organizing club undertakes to destroy the files immediately after the competition.
Competitor should have a backup copy of the music on a USB memory stick.
Confirmation and preliminary schedule
Will be released on the competition website.
Draw
An electronic draw will be on 26.11.2024. Starting orders will be published next day on our website.
Catering
Catering will be arranged for judges
Coaches have possibility to order soup lunch beforehand at the price 10€ including soup, sandwich, juice and coffee (instructions will be published in the competition website)
Cafeteria in the swimming hall next door will be serving competitors and public.
Tickets
Free entrance.
Protests
Protests must be submitted to the Referee of the category at the latest immediately after the event. Protest fee is equal to the participation fee. If the protest won’t be approved, the fee won’t be refundable. The referee's decision is final.
Protocol
The protocol/list of results in each category shall be published on the competition website.
Liability and changes
According to the ISU Regulations, Rule 119, the Organiser accepts no liability. Participants and other members are expected to provide their own insurance. All rights to changes are reserved.
First Aid
Doctor and qualified first aiders will be present in the competition.
Stream and photos
By registering for the competition, the skater and her guardians agree that the skater's name and the result will be published in the competition documents and website. Note also that the competition will be streamed and photos of the competition may be posted on social media.
Accommodation
Accommodation will be arranged by the participants. Please contact the hotels to reserve accommodation.
Organiser recommends Holiday Inn Tampere – Central Station, Rautatienkatu 21, 33100 Tampere.
The hotel has preliminary quota reserved for our competitors for following prices:
- Single room 100 € / day
- Double room 120 € / day
- Triple room 140 € / day
