Finnish Paralympic Committee seeks for a head coach for men's national goalball team

Finnish Paralympic Committee is seeking for a head coach to the Finnish men’s national team. It is a part-time job.

Main duties for head coach consists of taking charge of the coaching of the men’s national team and developing the daily coaching of the national team players in co-operation with other members of the coaching staff and the employers of the Finnish Paralympic Committee. Most of the national team players live in the Finnish Metropolitan area, near Helsinki.

Good leadership and co-operation skills are required. The head coach will be working alongside coaching staff consisting of experts in for example physical and psychological coaching.

Previous experience in goalball or other para sports are not required but will be seen as a benefit.

Finland is a traditional powerhouse in goalball. Men’s national team has won two Paralympic Gold medals, in 1996 and 2012. The latest medal from international tournaments is a European Championship silver in 2015. Finland sits 9th in the latest men’s goalball World Ranking.
